Linda Arndt
Biography
After graduating from the University of Alberta, I had the opportunity to teach the lower elementary grades (K-3) in the hamlet of Fort Assiniboine. During this time, I had the privilege to train in the the early reading intervention program and participate in the balanced literacy program. I transferred to Westlock Elementary School and have had the opportunity to learn the Early Reading Intervention program to assist kids with reading difficulties. During the summer months, I have attended math symposiums to become more knowledgeable in elementary mathematics. Developing a positive attitude and a clear understanding of mathematics in children is my mission. Students use math every day of their lives and need to feel confident and comfortable with it. I share the love of learning with children. Each new school year is as exciting as the last. So much to learn and get to know kids:)
